What is UX/UI?
The terms “User Experience (UX)” and “User Interface (UI)” are closely related but not interchangeable.
The “User Interface (UI)” refers to the human-computer interactions—the layout of menus, links, color schemes, etc. in a graphical interface environment. The ease of use and clarity are key factors in designing high quality UIs.
The ‘‘User Experience (UX)” encompasses all aspects of the user’s interaction with the company, its services, and its products—the total customer experience. User Experience design focuses on the intersection between human users and everyday products and services, such as websites, apps, and even coffee machines. The concept of user-centered design is core to the creation of outstanding UXs, which leads to greater successes in building an organization’s brand and website.
Why is UX and UI important?
Taken together, they are essential to the success of a website (or software) design. The superior UX/UI design in a website improves the overall quality of the user interaction, leading to an increase in customer satisfaction and a longer lasting impression, which translates into greater numbers of user return visits. Ultimately, the user interactions become more meaningful and build long-term customer brand loyalty.
How do we use User Experience and User Interface to benefit you?
Developing a new and fresh website that achieves goals—converting visitors and making sales—is a lofty task. We want to achieve your company goals with your website so we must aways shape the website and user experience to be the best possible experience for your planned visitor. We spend a lot of our time thinking about the user/visitor to your site. Who are they? How do we get them from this section to that section? What do they need to know or see to make a good decision (the decision we want them to make)? Is the important information easy to see or find? Are we delivering enough information but not toooooo much? – and on and on.
We do all this because better UX makes happier clients, and isn’t that what we all want anyway?
