Nate hails from the North - Brattleboro, Vermont to be exact but he's adapted to Design the Planet and the Big Easy like red beans go with rice, and we're very excited he's a part of the team!

When Freight Forwarder International wanted to take their business to the next level they knew the first step was a website. Having a well designed website has positioned them as a player in an international industry and already increased business.

We're seeing double... interns, that is. This summer we have not one, but two students working with us at Design the Planet. That's twice the enthusiasm and fresh perspectives added to the mix. As a manufacturer of Marsh Buggies, otherwise known as marsh excavators, Wilson Marsh Equipment retrofits Bobcat and Caterpillar excavators with large pontoons to move and work in muddy and wet land. The marsh excavators are manufactured in the United States by Wilson and sold worldwide through their new website by The Brand Constructors that spotlights the equipments versatility, additional options and range of models.

With a new logo and website designed by Design the Planet, Lemmon Law Firm has revitalized the firm’s brand which services St. Charles Parish and the New Orleans Metro Area. The website allows individuals easy access to information about the firm’s practice areas, the attorney’s expertise and how to get in touch with one of its experienced attorneys.

Puglia’s Sporting Goods is a New Orleans institution. Known for their comprehensive selection of equipment and expert sales staff, they decided to extend their expertise to the internet with a website that offers not only online coupons but monthly tips on fishing and hunting from Tony Puglia himself, along with the chance to “Ask An Expert” about any questions you might have about equipment or techniques. Whether you’re a sportsman yourself, or just know someone who is, Puglia’s is the site to go to.

After developing the company’s logo and stationery package a couple of years ago, Design the Planet continues to develop the JCH Development brand by launching the firm’s website. JCH Development is a boutique Urban Real Estate Development firm that redevelops historical warehouses and buildings into multi-family living spaces and mixed-use areas that revitalize neighborhoods. They are currently repurposing the old Blue Plate Mayonnaise factory on Earhart and Broad into 72 mixed-income loft residences which include green building practices and a community room, courtyard & BBQ areas.

One of Design the Planet’s first clients, Larry Schedler, principal of Larry Schedler & Associates, presented that the state of the New Orleans Metropolotian Area’s Multi-Family Market for the fourth year at a symposium hosted by UNO on April 2, 2009. A week later, Larry Schedler joined Mark Madderra of Madderra & Cazalot to discuss a similar topic to business students at Tulane University here in New Orleans.

Riverside Parc, in Birmingham, Alabama, is the newest additional to the RCG Longview Properties property portfolio and Design the Planet’s website portfolio. Design the Planet developed a website structure for the management company’s first property, The Esplanade at City Park, and carried it out through this website and the company’s other apartment website, Diamond Lakes. Although each property shares a consistent structure, the color scheme and pictures are personalized to each property for a unique look-and-feel. Each website features the property’s amenities, floor plans, and location include a Walk Score of the neighborhood.

After numerous print ads, email and web campaigns, photo shoots and other print materials developed by Design the Planet, Scandinavia Furniture unveils a new website along with online shopping capabilities. Design the Planet is proud to help Scandinavia Furniture grow their brand and customer communication pieces both on and offline.

A few Design the Planet team members will attend the upcoming WordCamp NOLA on April 10th and 11th. They will bring back valuable information on the powerful blogging software WordPress. We'll keep you updated on the information they digest and how to use it for your business.

Design the Planet is proud to introduce a new division of the company dedicated to the construction industry, Brand Constructors. The Brand Constructors division designs websites and develops brands for construction companies, construction material suppliers and other companies related to the construction industry. Design the Planet has enjoyed many years working with New Orleans area construction companies and suppliers and developed Brand Constructors to provide a national expert in construction brand marketing for the industry.

Design the Planet recently completed the Bertucci Corp’s website and company image update. Bertucci is a fifth generation company that performs infrastructure projects such as coastal restoration and barrier island creation. With its ability to operate its specially adapted equipment in isolated and harsh environments, Bertucci is the leader in shallow water construction along the Gulf Coast.

After developing an illustrative logo for The Barley Oak and a well functioning 'holding page' which allowed people to check the status of the construction and apply for different positions, The Barley Oak website goes live!

The Occasional Wife has expanded on their promise to be "The Modern Solution To Your Busy Life" to include not only their booked-weeks-in-advance services, but also a brand new retail store at 4306 Magazine Street. Fashion meets function in clever accessories for every room in the house. After a Grand Opening Cocktail Party on February 12th, The Occasional Wife will be open for business as your "Organizational Store For Urban Living".


Design the Planet is proud to have been a part of their branding success by creating a comprehensive marketing campaign including billboards, streetcar placards, seasonal and promotional emails, retail signage, and various specialty projects.

Design the Planet launches a new website for the wealth management company, Crescent Sterling. The new web design is the first redesign of the company’s website in over 8 years. Crescent Sterling’s website provides prospective clients and current clients with the professional backgrounds of the key members of the firm, the company’s services and monthly education through a newsletter.

Design the Planet works with Green Acres Auto Repair to develop a website to be utilized as an online marketing tool and cross-selling platform for the repair shop. Green Acres Auto Repair is located in Metairie, LA is a vehicle repair shop that actually tows vehicles across the river and understands the inconvenience of having your car in the shop. You can request an appointment online and download a coupon.

Design the Planet redesigned the Charlotte Commons website with an updated and upscale look to better represent the brand. The new website was coded in CSS, and keywords were purchased for increased search engine visibility with the result that the number of unique visitors to the site daily increased tenfold.

A product as innovative as Ceramic Coat needs a branding strategy just as inventive. Design the Planet created a logo, business cards, brochures and other promotional materials, and a website, all designed around the look and feel of the brand. A great product is a good thing – a great product correctly branded and marketed is a WINNER!

Green technology is important – and getting the word out there is just as important. Our rebranding for Sun Energy Group included new website which visually conveys the environmentally conscious philosophy of the company, while clearly explaining the technology involved. Making a brand understandable and appealing is what we do.
