You have probably heard of and most likely laughed at the TV commercials sweeping the nation about the “Snuggie” and maybe the “Slanket”. Both products are blankets with sleeves and everyone is talking about them from the morning radio shows to Jay Leno and SNL. YouTube has had over 670,000 hits for the commercial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xZp-GLMMJ0) and the spoof commercial has over 2 million hits (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h05ZQ7WHw8Y)! This is a great example of a simple, million dollar idea through viral marketing and media buzz.
Although culturally unacceptable to some, the Snuggie has hit mainstream society with Snuggies throughout the cold Mardi Gras parade routes just a few weeks ago and now Snuggie Pub Crawls in the north (http://www.snuggiepubcrawls.com). What will be next, that State of the Union with President Obama and Congress in Snuggies?

Our friend ‘wore’ one for Mardi Gras and it was a huge hit. She could even hold her beer and catch beads through the sleeves!
I saw those pictures. She was a Snuggie Statue of Liberty. Creative.
Snuggie is all the rage night now
Time to snuggie up to someone close to you.
